Lawrance Kimmel Receives Selective Construction Law Honor

October 20, 2015

Kimmel Carter Managing Partner Lawrance Kimmel was recently named a 2015 Legal Leader in Construction Law for the state of Delaware by American Lawyer Media and Martindale-Hubbell.

ALM and Martindale-Hubbell partner annually to create the “Legal Leaders” list, which includes top attorneys from across the country in a range of practice areas and specialties. The lawyers who are selected demonstrate leadership qualities and have achieved the AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the organization’s highest rating in legal ability and ethical standards. Larry’s expertise as an attorney representing workers who have been injured on construction sites, as well as other injured workers, led to his selection.

Larry is an experienced trial lawyer and negotiator who is trusted both by his clients and within the local and regional legal community. Along with Martindale-Hubbell’s prestigious AV Preeminent rating, he has received the Super Lawyers Rising Star distinction and the Young Lawyers’ Distinguished Service Award from the Delaware State Bar Association, among other awards.

Recently, Larry was named the “Top Leader” for small business in the 2015 Delaware Top Workplaces survey conducted by The News Journal Media Group and Workplace Dynamics. He was also honored in September as part of the Delaware “DBT40” list of young innovators and achievers in business, law, nonprofits and other fields, as chosen by the Delaware Business Times.

Larry is a Past President of the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association, a former Chair of the Delaware State Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Section, and is currently chair of the Blue-Gold Basketball Board of Trustees, a group that has raised millions of dollars to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Larry is honored that he has been selected for the Legal Leader award. He is committed to continuing the fight to help injured workers get the compensation they deserve.
