On the Day of Kobe and Gianna’s Memorial Service The lawsuit was filed shortly before the Memorial Service honoring Kobe and his daughter Gianna. The lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court alleges that Island Express Helicopters put the helicopter in the air when the weather conditions were not safe for flying. Further, it states that the company and the helicopter's pilot, Ara George Zobayan, had a "duty to use that degree of care that an ordinarily careful and prudent pilot would use under the same or similar circumstances”, which allegedly neither parties assessed. Kimmel Carter Celebrates the Polar Plunge! We are honored to have been a part of this year’s Polar Bear Plunge held in Lewes, Delaware! This was the first year that Kimmel Carter as a firm has participated in the festivities. Eight of our employees braved the icy water along with 3,700 others and had a great time for a great cause. This year was the best fundraising year yet, with the Special Olympics Delaware raising over $1,000,000! The 21st Annual Blue Gold Basketball Games Are Almost Here!

Four teams will compete in the annual Blue-Gold All-Star Basketball Games on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the 76ers Field House. This day-long family-friendly event will consist of 2 games. The Blue teams – the top 15 boys and 15 girls’ senior basketball players from northern Delaware – will face off against the Gold teams – the top 15 boys and 15 girls’ senior basketball players from southern Delaware. Total traffic deaths have increased from 2019, a new Delaware Police analysis shows. The data is collected from the first two weeks of January, and may set the tone for the upcoming year. Total traffic deaths have increased from 6 individuals to 8, an unfortunate uptick that may be partially accredited to lack of seat belt use, as shown below: This statistic includes teen Jordan Tate, who passed away after being hit by a school bus in New Castle, Delaware on January 10th, 2020.
