The 21st Annual Blue Gold Basketball Games Are Almost Here!

Four teams will compete in the annual Blue-Gold All-Star Basketball Games on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the 76ers Field House. This day-long family-friendly event will consist of 2 games. The Blue teams – the top 15 boys and 15 girls’ senior basketball players from northern Delaware – will face off against the Gold teams – the top 15 boys and 15 girls’ senior basketball players from southern Delaware. The festivities start with the girls’ game at 12:00 p.m. and concluding with the boys’ game at 2:45 p.m.

Kimmel Carter is proud to partner with Cancer Care Connection for this year’s Blue-Gold Basketball Game. Cancer Care Connection is a non-profit that has helped thousands of Delawareans and their families in times of need. As Licensed mental health professionals, the Cancer Resource Coaches help patients in making well-informed decisions through personalized information, resource connections, and personalized coaching. Its Senior Outreach Program has been especially helpful to those who need comfort the most. Cancer Resource Coaches visit senior centers throughout Delaware, offering emotional comfort, while providing coping techniques for those affected by this illness.

Cancer Care Connection is especially dear to our hearts, as Mort Kimmel, the founding partner of Kimmel Carter, passed away two years ago after a battle with multiple myeloma.

Managing Partner Larry Kimmel, Chair of the Blue-Gold Basketball Board of Trustees, is honored that the Blue-Gold All-Star Basketball games will benefit an organization that has offered quality support for those who are suffering.
