Kimmel Carter is proud to support the Heart in the Game Foundation.
Heart in the Game Foundation’s mission is to make Delaware the Heart Healthiest state in the nation.
There are a few key ways in which this mission is accomplished:
· Screen every student in Delaware aged 10-23.
· Train in CPR/AED.
· Combat childhood obesity.
· Combat the scourge of opiate addiction.
· Augment the protocols of CERP (Cardiac Emergency Response Plan) in every school.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the number one cause of death of student athletes while participating in practices and games. Heart of the Game Foundation helps ensure schools are better prepared to respond quickly and effectively should an incident occur.
In 1999, Kimmel Carter founded the Blue Gold Basketball Games, which highlight the top 30 male and 30 female senior basketball student athletes representing upstate and downstate Delaware.
The health of Delaware’s student athletes is paramount to us, and we are honored that Heart in the Game Foundation has partnered with Déjà vu Safety Solutions to make Delaware the heart healthiest state.
