The Gift of Life Family House hosted the 16th Annual Kidney Open Golf Outing at the Dupont Country Club on Monday, August 24th, to support transplant families. All proceeds went to the Family House’s Adopt-A-Family Program, which ensures that nightly room fees at the Gift of Life Family House remain low, and supports families who cannot afford the nightly fee.
Gift of Life Family House serves as a “home away from home” for transplant patients and their families by providing temporary, affordable lodging, and supportive services to those who travel to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for transplant-related care.
For nearly half a century, Gift of Life Donor Program—a federally designated nonprofit organ procurement organization— has served the tri-state area, connecting patients awaiting organ and tissue transplants and those who donate these gifts. In 2011, they opened the Gift of Life Family House, to support families during their transplant journey.
Kimmel Carter is honored to support this remarkable charity, that offers comfort to those receiving organ transplants and reveres those who have saved lives by donating their organs.
