Wilmington, DE — January 5, 2026 — Kimmel, Carter, Roman, Peltz & O’Neill is proud to announce that Emily L. Raisis has been named a partner with the firm, recognizing her more than a decade of dedicated service, exceptional advocacy, and unwavering commitment to clients.
Emily first joined Kimmel Carter as a law clerk while attending Widener School of Law and became an associate attorney upon passing the Delaware Bar in 2015. Since then, she has steadily grown her practice, focusing on motor vehicle-related injuries and workers’ compensation claims, while building a reputation for aggressive advocacy, compassionate client service, and proven results.

“I enjoy practicing law because every case is different than the last,” said Raisis. “Law is constantly evolving, so it’s never boring. I hate seeing people getting taken advantage of and love to be an advocate for them, especially against insurance companies.”
As a dedicated personal injury attorney, Emily has successfully handled thousands of cases involving motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall injuries, and workplace accidents. Her approach blends strategic litigation skills with genuine care for her clients, driven by the belief that every injured person deserves a strong advocate who will fight to secure justice.
A lifelong Delawarean and graduate of Brandywine High School, Emily remains deeply committed to her community. She is admitted to practice law in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the U.S. District Court of Delaware. She is also an active member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) and the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association (DTLA), where she participates in continuing legal education and advocacy efforts that advance the rights of injured individuals.
Emily’s work has consistently earned recognition from her peers, including honors from Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch™, Delaware Today “Top Lawyers,” and designation as a Delaware Super Lawyers Rising Star.
“Emily’s promotion to partner reflects not only her legal skill, but also her leadership, work ethic, and commitment to our clients and our firm’s values,” said Larry Kimmel, Managing Partner. “We are proud to recognize her accomplishments and look forward to her continued impact as a partner.”
Outside of the office, Emily is married and the proud mother of three children. She enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, and staying actively engaged in her community.
