Kimmel Carter Named to Delaware "Top Workplaces" List

Kimmel Carter Honored for Strong Office Culture for Second Year in a Row

The Kimmel Carter team is very proud to announce that we have been named to The News Journal’s annual Top Workplaces list again for 2016!

Published in yesterday’s edition of The News Journal, the Top Workplaces list recognizes Delaware companies that have exceptionally strong office cultures, based on high scores on an anonymous employee feedback survey conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLC. Kimmel Carter was selected thanks to high scores in categories like organizational effectiveness, connection, and employee-manager relationships.

This is the second year in a row that Kimmel Carter has been honored by Top Workplaces. Last year, the firm ranked as the number two small business on the list, while Managing Partner Larry Kimmel was featured as the top small business leader in the state.

“It’s an honor for Kimmel Carter to be recognized by Top Workplaces again this year,” Larry says. “To get this kind of feedback from our team saying that they like being here, and that they’re happy with how the firm is run – that really means so much.”

Since taking over as managing partner in 2013, Larry says that he has viewed team building and maintaining a positive office culture as a top priority. He hopes that now frequent office-wide celebrations, volunteer outings and other activities will build on Kimmel Carter’s long-held reputation as an atypically friendly, welcoming office, bringing his team closer together and further increasing their job satisfaction.

“Making sure that our people are happy and that everyone feels appreciated is hugely important to me and the other partners, and the results of the Top Workplaces survey help us to see that we’re doing a good job of that,” Larry says.

“And I know it’s a cliché, but I really do believe that a happy team equals better service to our clients, so it’s a win-win.”

f the survey results weren’t enough to convince Larry that his team is happy, just ask one of Kimmel Carter’s newest employees, Amy Handling. “The way this office gets together to honor staff members, do charity events, or just hang out has been a joy to witness,” Amy said recently. “I have never met a nicer group of individuals.”
